Giampiero Sanna
Giampiero Sanna Giampiero Sanna is a fluke artist like others in San Sperate. He is 54 years old and for four years he has been sculpting antique Sardinian roofing tiles. Although he revealed artistic talent as a child, he didn't work towards developing this talent until years later. He emigrated to North Italy from 1969 to 1973 to work and returned to Sardinia where he continued working until the age of 50 when he was obliged to retire for health reasons.From that moment on, he began his artistic works and began collecting antique Sardinian roofing tiles wherever he could find them to make sculptures representing his village and region and participating in shows and exhibitions gathering public appreciation.
