Angelo Pilloni

Driven by a desire to rebuild a past whith which his fellow people could identify, his murals reproduce scenes of rural live: farmers at work, folk  festivals and antique agriculture equipment. He creates his works using the “Trompe l’oeil” technique with characteristic elements of old Campidanese homes and their wood portals, small windows and mud brick walls.

In 1993, he contributed to two murals in Stuttgart where the following year, the Italian Embassy organised an exhibition of his easel works.

In 1994, he organised a theoretical hands-on course to teach young artists of San Sperate the art of mural painting with the objective of transmitting his knowledge and acquired experience in intensive artistic activities.

In recent years, he has been supervising the mural constructions in San Sperate and not only does he contribute to the new murals, but he also helps with the restoration and preservation of existing works.

Erminluca Maccioni

Erminluca Maccioni alias Erminio was born in San Sperate, where he currently resides and works, in August of 1947.
 
For years he has participated intensively in the cultural-artistic life in Sardinia with personal exhibitions and participation in art collections and contests receiving remarkable public appraisal.

Numerous critics are interested in his paintings and he is well known both in Italy and abroad. He has received favourable criticism in major Sardinian, Italian and foreign newspapers (such as EL SOL, Tampico Mexico and the Daily American).

Giampaolo Mameli

The journey to become an artist is a long road that unites the culture of a project and daily routines, with all its discoveries and innovations.

To portray these aspects, Giampaolo Mameli produces all of his works manually and exposes them to incessant experiments concentrating in particular on the chromatic effects he obtains with particular baking techniques.

In his studies of Sardinian traditions, there are traces of ancient roots, symbolic heritage and signs of pre-nuragic and nuragic arts. These works are reinterpreted with imagery, contemporary and personal style.

Although predominant, his ceramic works are not the only form of art he produces; he works and teaches in his laboratory in San Sperate and Villasimius to transmit his skills to future ceramists.

In 1987 he won the regional prize for ceramic art and his works can be found in various museums and in numerous public and private collections.
